We will begin early with hotel pick-up in the historic center. We head south into the Andes, taking in a breathtaking mountain sunrise along the way.
During the trip, we pass scenic valleys, mountains, and traditional high-Andean pastoral communities. Tip: Keep your camera ready—spectacular views appear around every curve.
We stop to enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast, recharging our energy with hot coffee, local bread, and hearty dishes before the trek begins.
We arrive at base camp (4,400 m a.s.l.) and start the roughly 3 km hike (approx. 1.5 hours). Tip: Maintain a steady pace with deep, rhythmic breathing.
We reach the summit to take in panoramic vistas of the Vilcanota Range, capture unforgettable photos of the natural mineral colors, and connect with the energy of the Apus.
We start our descent along the same trail. The walk down is faster and easier, giving you time to capture final views of snow-capped Mount Ausangate.
Before returning to Cusco, we savor a buffet lunch filled with flavorful local dishes—perfect for replenishing your energy after the hike.
We board our transport back to the city. Approximate arrival in Cusco is around 5:00 p.m., ending near the Plaza de Armas or directly at your hotel.
