The 7 Lakes of Ausangate Tour is one of the most breathtaking natural and mystical experiences you can enjoy in Cusco. This journey takes you to the foothills of the majestic Mount Ausangate (the most sacred mountain in the Andean world) to discover a circuit of seven vibrant alpine lakes that look straight out of another world.
This adventure combines high-mountain trekking with the charm of the alpaca-herding community of Pacchanta. You will marvel at turquoise, green, and deep-blue lakes framed by towering glaciers, and as a rewarding finale after the hike, soak in soothing natural hot springs with direct views of the snow-capped mountain range.

We will begin early with a pick-up from your hotel to start the journey toward the community of Pacchanta, enjoying the Andean sunrise and stunning landscapes along the route.
We will arrive at this charming village nestled at the foot of Mount Ausangate. We will prepare for the mountain cold and enjoy a wholesome local Andean breakfast to build our energy.
We will begin our ascent surrounded by towering peaks and herds of grazing alpacas and llamas. We will maintain a steady pace with short rests to comfortably acclimatize to the altitude.
We will visit Comercocha, Patacocha, Alqacocha, Otorongococha, Azulcocha, Pucacocha, and Q’omercocha. Each mirrors vibrant emerald, deep-blue, and turquoise hues set against the majestic backdrop of the Vilcanota Range. Plenty of time for unforgettable photos!
After completing the circuit, we will descend to Pacchanta to relax in its open-air natural thermal baths, offering privileged, front-row views of the snow-capped Mount Ausangate.
Fully restored after the soothing thermal bath, we will savor a delicious, hearty traditional lunch prepared with care by members of the local community.
We will board our transport back to the city, arriving at around 5:30 p.m. and concluding the service near the main square (Plaza de Armas) or your hotel.
