We will meet at the water fountain in Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, where your guide will provide a warm welcome and an overview of the journey, explaining the essential details of the tour.
We begin the tour by visiting the impressive Qorikancha, the most sacred sanctuary of the Inca Empire. Here you will discover its rich history while admiring the seamless harmony between Inca and Spanish colonial architecture.
We continue to the majestic Sacsayhuamán fortress, world-renowned for its colossal stone blocks fitted together with flawless precision. From here, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Cusco.
Next, we will explore Qenqo, an Inca ceremonial center featuring rock-carved altars and sacred subterranean passages. This site was the setting for vital religious rituals dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth).
We head next to Puka Pukara, an ancient military complex that guarded the entrance to the Inca capital. Its name means “red fortress,” owing to the warm reddish hue its stones take on under sunlight.
Our final stop is Tambomachay, where you will admire natural stone fountains that the Incas used for ceremonial bathing—a prime example of their advanced hydraulic engineering.
We conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point or your hotel, wrapping up an unforgettable experience filled with history.
